Dedham HS Fires Football Coach

Keith Comeau is out as the head coach of Dedham High School after three years on the job.

The Marauders finished 1-10 this past season, and according to the Boston Globe, the school is also changing the type of teams it will play in 2011 and 2012.

Legendary Massachusetts High School Football Coach Dies After Battle with ALS

The Boston Globe is reporting that former BC High head football coach Jim Cotter has lost his four year battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Globe reporter Bryan Marquard looks at the life of the man, who did more than lead his school to a record of 236-149-17 from 1960 to 2004.

Massachusetts High School Football Pre-Season Practice Begins August 23rd

Welcome to our new look for the 2010 Massachusetts high school football season!

With the first day of practice beginning August 23rd, I wanted to take the time to thank all of my readers, who have made this blog successful over the past three years.  I have bigger-and-better things planned this year with more original content.

Two Coaches Inducted into Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame

Bob Souza, who's been the head football coach at St. Sebastian's School for the last 32-years, and Vin Joseph (15-years at Medfield HS) are being inducted next Sunday night into the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

The Boston Globe reports that both men are extremely happy with the honor.

Natick High and Lynn Tech Name New Football Coaches

Longtime Natick assistant Mark Mortarelli has been promoted to head coach.

Mortarelli takes over for Tom Lamb, who resigned at the end of last season.

Meanwhile, Lynn Tech has hired 29-year old James Runner its its new head football coach.

Runner replaces Gary Sverker.
