The High School Football Huddle
The craziness that is Massachusetts high school football playoff begins Tuesday night. The eastern Mass semis are set for tomorrow night and then the winners have to bounce back and play in the Super Bowls on Saturday.
In Division 1, the semifinals are rematches for '07 with
BC High (9-1) taking-on two-time defending champ
Everett (9-1). The winner of that gets the
Brockton-Dartmouth winner. Top-ranked Dartmouth won last year's semifinal and then lost to Everett 36-28 in overtime in the Super Bowl.

One day after beating the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association off-the-field for the right to play in the Eastern Mass Division 2 semifinals, Mansfield beat Bishop Feehan 22-6 to advance to Saturday's Super Bowl. Originally, Mansfield was forced to forfeit the game by MIAA for using an ineligible player earlier this season, but less than an hour before the game on Tuesday, the school won an injunction in Superior Court. Next week, the MIAA will another hearing on the matter that could still result in Mansfield having to forfeit its post-season wins. Click here for a Mansfield-Bishop Feehan game recap.
